You will immerse yourself creatively, critically and practically when you study a double degree in creative arts and business at UOW. Practising artists and designers will develop a unique edge in managing their talents for professional purposes.

As you learn alongside experts in their fields, you will explore themes in the creative industries as you build the practical commercial, business and administrative skills essential for a career in arts administration, publishing, musical entrepreneurship or management of performing arts centres, museums, theatres or galleries.

You will grow your knowledge across core skills in many business functions essential to the contemporary arts and creative industries, as well as specialist knowledge in a chosen field. You will learn to think and work creatively as you apply your business skills in the creative industries.

Design your degree to meet your career aspirations as you complete common theory and practice-based work complemented by individual majors. By expanding your specialisation, you will carve out a career of your choice and gain highly competitive skills in a global workplace.

Throughout this double degree, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your portfolio and make meaningful professional connections.

Finance major: This course has been accepted into the CFA Institute Affiliation Program. Graduates are eligible to apply for membership of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Admission criteria

Applicants with recent secondary education

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English.

Recommended studies: English Advanced, any 2 units of mathematics. For Music: Music 2 or Music Extension. For Visual Arts or Visual Arts and Design: Design and Technology and/or Textiles and Design and/or Visual Arts.
