SAE has a range of approaches to learning and teaching that can be activated to provide flexibility in the face of changing circumstances as required, to support student progression regardless of external factors.

SAE Audio graduates have been involved with many outstanding production companies, studios, live venues and radio broadcasters, including Forester Savile, Count Bounce, Michael Stavrou, Labsonics, Post Studio, Black Pearl Studios, Sing Studios, Woodstock Studios, Prince of Wales Hotel, Revolver, J-Air Community Radio Station and Soundcorp.

Advanced sound for picture techniques, advanced studio production techniques, audio post-production team dynamics, studio projects planning and execution, studio-production, team dynamics.

Essential requirements for admission

Interview: In addition to applying through UAC, all applicants must undertake a telephone interview or personal interview on campus.

Identification: Applicants are required to upload documentation in their application to show photo identification and proof of citizenship. Accepted forms of identification are passport, driver's licence, birth certificate and/or citizenship certificate.

In addition to the above requirements, students wishing to enrol in Dip Music Production will also be invited to participate in an interview and audition process. This process will help to establish underlying music skills and knowledge as well as program suitability. Remote interviews can be arranged for international students. Students can submit a portfolio of work as an alternative to the audition. Portfolios may include: links to your music or musical performances on YouTube, SoundCloud, etc links to online portfolio pages a statement providing an overview of existing skills and knowledge in music production, including examples from senior secondary music classes, AMEB and CPM certification, appointment in school orchestras or bands, etc.

Admission criteria

SAE courses do not have an ATAR requirement. Refer to the SAE general admission criteria.
