About

The University Entrance Program is delivered by UOW College Australia. The bachelor degree is delivered by the University of Wollongong.

The University Entrance Program (UEP) provides an alternative entry to the University of Wollongong (UOW) for students who have not met the direct entry requirement to a UOW College diploma or UOW bachelor degree. The focus is on effective transition to tertiary studies and development of a positive student identity, with subjects specifically designed to develop effective approaches to learning in the higher education context.

There are three different streams in the UEP, allowing students to study subjects within a selected stream relevant to their chosen degree: Stream 1 in Business and Humanities, Stream 2 in Science and Information Technology, and Stream 3 in Engineering. The course is delivered in one session of 14 weeks duration, with an additional subject in mathematics required for students seeking entry to an engineering degree.

  • Stream 1 for entry into Wollongong campus – Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Education (The Early Years), Psychological Science, Sport, Sustainability. Bega Valley campus – Bachelor of Arts, Nursing. Eurobodalla campus – Bachelor of Business, Nursing. Shoalhaven campus – Bachelor of Arts, Business, Nursing, Social Science. Southern Highlands campus - Bachelor of Arts.
  • Stream 2 for entry into the Bachelor of Geography, Science (Human Geography or Environment and Heritage Management).
  • Stream 3 for entry into the Bachelor of Mathematics, Medical and Radiation Physics, Science (Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences).

ATAR profile

ATAR-based offers only (semester 1, 2023)

Use all ATAR profile data as a guide only; it provides a broad overview of the ATARs and selection ranks of previous Year 12 students admitted into that course. ATARs and selection ranks required for entry in 2024 may be different. If you are unsure about including a course among your preferences, contact the relevant institution.

  1. This ATAR profile table is in line with Commonwealth Government transparency requirements. It is based on offers to recent school leavers (ie completed Year 12 in the last 2 years) who were selected solely or partly on their ATAR. Note that some institutions further differentiate this information on their websites.
  2. The ATAR values exclude any adjustment factors.
  3. The selection ranks include the ATAR and any adjustment factors.
