Students gain a comprehensive understanding of modern, responsible business practices and the crucial role of technology in supporting efficient business operations. They also develop the technical skills to design and implement infrastructure and systems.
This interdisciplinary course produces industry-ready professional engineers with the skills, capabilities and attributes needed to analyse and create solutions for complex engineering systems. A Civil Engineering specialisation develops their expertise in a field of practice.
Core business units develop knowledge in sustainability, marketing, accounting, finance, artificial intelligence, business analytics, and professional development. These learnings are underpinned by professional work experience in a relevant business organisation.
This double degree is also available online. Attendance at on-campus workshops is a requirement for all students.

Civil engineer in diverse industries, including traffic and transport, humanitarian organisations, government authorities, water supply and management agencies, construction companies, natural resource management organisations, consulting engineering companies, mining companies, irrigation authorities, research organisations and in tertiary education.
Fully accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of Professional Engineer.
Courses accredited by Engineers Australia at this level are recognised in many different countries worldwide through the Washington Accord, an international agreement governing recognition of engineering qualifications and professional competence.
A compulsory 60-day Engineering placement is a component of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil Engineering).
This course also includes professional work experience in a business organisation.
