The Bachelor of Commerce via the Diploma of Commerce is a direct pathway into the Bachelor of Commerce.
Take the first step toward your future by undertaking the Diploma of Commerce. This diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree and will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of accounting, business statistics, economics, finance, management and marketing.
If you successfully complete the diploma, you'll progress directly into the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce without losing any time, as you’ll receive credit for the units you complete in the diploma.
Once you enter the Bachelor of Commerce, you’ll be prepared to become a business professional in a wide range of careers. You’ll study a set of extensive and integrated foundation units that will orient you to commerce and business, followed by one or two majors to develop depth and specialisation in your chosen discipline. You’ll also acquire a set of sought-after employability skills – data literacy, business analysis, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, critical thinking and a global mindset, among others – all key competencies that today’s top employers regard extremely highly.

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics Advanced or Mathematics Standard 2. For progression into Bachelor of Actuarial Studies: Mathematics Advanced (Band 3) and above is required to enrol in the core mathematics unit.
