Acting at JMC Academy provides an exciting and immersive pathway into your professional career as an actor for film, theatre, television and new media. Our program will prepare you to pursue a professional and sustainable career in performance - preparing not only the actor's knowledge and skill base but also the actor's process to meet the specific needs and nuances in this changing and diversifying performing arts industry.
Our Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting) will nurture talent and performance craft, whilst supporting the creation of new ideas, projects and creative ventures, ensuring our graduates are able to fully and confidently participate with personal leadership in all facets of their industry.
JMC take practical experience seriously, throughout the duration of your studies, gain a wide range of performance experience across stage, screen and new media including animation and game design in collaboration with students from across JMC’s creative disciplines including working on our very own Film Student productions Then take your skills beyond our advanced design campus and perform in fully staged productions at some of Sydney’s best theatre spaces including Belvoir St Theatre and the Sydney Opera House.
With world class campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, a dedicated team of academics and industry professional lecturers, and the opportunity to participate in international masterclasses and study abroad programs, JMC Academy is committed to ensuring our graduates make their own indelible mark on industry.
JMC Actors graduate with a complete graduation package including a professional showreel, industry showcase and head-shots ready for us (and you!) to share with industry. All JMC bachelor degree graduates are eligible to apply for entry into JMC Academy's Master of Creative Industries, or relevant post-grad qualifications at any Australian university.

Interview: Once we've received your application, we'll give you a call and organise for you to come in for a consultation with one of our student recruitment advisers. During this appointment they'll be able to confirm your application details, assess the best course & study options for you.
Audition: As an Acting applicant, you are required to attend an audition to demonstrate your aptitude for the course. You will receive a JMC Audition Booklet to assist preparation. For regional or interstate applicants unable to attend in person, interviews and auditions can be held online.
Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent. No ATAR required. Minimum age 17.

You may be entitled to credit for prior learning, whether formal or informal. Formal learning can include previous study in higher education, vocational education, or adult and community education. Informal learning can include on the job learning or various kinds of work and life experience. Credit can reduce the amount of study needed to complete a degree.
