An engineering degree designed for the future. Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) teaches students to become problem finders in a fast-growing industry, where design solutions and innovative thinking are vital.
This degree boasts many unique characteristics but, best of all, it is built on a systems engineering framework, which means you will learn how engineering disciplines work together. Our state-of-the-art education experience ensures you will be able to design, analyse and manage the complex systems of the future.
The first 18 months is common for all students. Following this, you can specialise in your chosen engineering field.
Electronic and communication systems, humanitarian engineering, mechatronic systems, renewable energy systems, environmental systems, aerospace systems.
Engineer in transport, renewable energy and power, electronics and communications, robotics, materials science, production and operations management, defence.
Awarded to all students on the basis of performance throughout the course.
The Australian Government pays part of the tuition fee for this course. The remaining balance is paid by the student. Information about ANU student contributions.
Co-curricular or service experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): Applicants must demonstrate at least two of the following seven skills: community engagement, inclusion and awareness of diversity, communication, leadership, personal responsibility, teamwork, creative and critical thinking. Check if you meet the ANU co-curricular or service requirement.
ACT: Mathematical Methods (major). NSW: Mathematics Advanced. Students without these prerequisites may be eligible for entry, subject to undertaking the ANU Mathematics bridging course.
Minimum selection rank: 85.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
