UAC is committed to ensuring that our core services remain available while we comply with government requirements and endeavour to keep our staff safe. Further updates will be available on our website as information comes to hand.

Importance advice for Year 12 students

We know you’re worried about how your plans to go to uni in 2021 will be affected by COVID-19.

We want to reassure you that UAC will work with universities, NESA, schools and other stakeholders to ensure that no student is disadvantaged in relation to university entry.

These are very difficult times, but we are all committed to looking after you and giving you the support you need.

It’s important that you continue with your studies and with your plans for next year. Look after yourself and try not to worry. Be reassured by the many of us working in the background to help you get through Year 12 and reach your goals.

For applicants

Applications for semester 2, 2020 and semester 1, 2021 opened on Wednesday 1 April as scheduled.

In response to COVID-19, most institutions are moving courses online to enable students to continue their studies. Contact individual institutions for specific arrangements. 

Year 12 students were emailed their UAC PIN on 1 April. Further advice regarding special arrangements for Year 12 students will be made available in the coming weeks and months as we work with universities, NESA and other stakeholders to ensure that no student is disadvantaged in relation to university entry in 2021.

Our call centre is fully operational, and our friendly team is standing by to take calls on 1300 275 822 Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Livechat and email through our website also continue to be available.

For the health and safety of our staff and the general public, the face-to-face counter service at our Sydney Olympic Park head office is currently closed.

For schools

Many external events, including careers expos, have been cancelled. UAC’s school engagements have been postponed and our community engagement team is working with schools to reschedule until later in the year and/or offer online alternatives. Schools should contact the team directly to make alternative arrangements – email ce@uac.edu.au.

The UAC Guide is being printed and will still be available for Year 12 students.

For institutions

All UAC departments are operating effectively and institutions should continue to use the usual channels of communication.
