Registered psychologists are equipped to practice in a broad range of employment settings, including allied health, aged care and disability services, education and private practice. They treat people with mental health problems but also seek to understand how factors such as personality, society and culture affect behaviour and provide counselling that can help people from all walks of like lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.
In a single year of study, this course provides you with the necessary knowledge and skills you need to complete a final, sixth year of supervised placement and gain registration as a generalist psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Through undertaking a blend of coursework and supervised placements, you'll be prepared for effective, ethical psychology practice in a broad range of contexts and settings.

Applications for this program are competitive. Satisfying the admission criteria does not guarantee a place in the program.
Shortlisted applicants will also be required to attend an interview. Interviews will take place from mid to late November.
First round offers will commence from mid-December.
Waitlisted applicants may be offered places on a continuous basis if higher-ranked applicants decline.

Limited Commonwealth-supported places (CSPs) are available for this course and will be awarded on academic merit. Eligible applicants who are not given a CSP will be recommended for fee-paying (FEE) places.
