About

The proliferation of new technologies is creating data faster than ever before. Organisations are using data and AI to improve operations and services, and using data analytics to improve business outcomes. Data analysts source and analyse data from many different sources, and work with experts across different domains to solve different types of problems. Data analysts go on to work in a wide range of professional settings, from public health to national security, from education to consumer and business services.

The Graduate Certificate of Applied Data Analytics comprises the equivalent of 0.5 years of full-time study. The program will be taught in intensive blended mode, with 4 weeks online, 1 week in person, and a further 4 weeks online. Students must attend the 1 week in person in Canberra. Students are expected to be enrolled part-time.

This program is available to domestic students only.

GPA calculation

ANU uses a 7-point grade point average (GPA) scale. All qualifications submitted for admission at ANU will be converted to this common scale, which will determine if an applicant meets our published admission requirements. Find out how a 7-point GPA is calculated for Australian universities.

Unless otherwise indicated, where an applicant has more than one completed tertiary qualification, ANU will calculate the GPA for each qualification separately. ANU will base assessment on the best GPA of all completed tertiary qualifications that are eligible to be considered.
