Top 10 most in-demand courses for 2020

Year 12 students from the class of 2019 are settling in to university and the stats are here - once again Health, Management and Commerce are the most in-demand fields of study for applications through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

The Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW Sydney tops the list with 1,305 unique first preferences. The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine joint medical program at University of Newcastle and University of New England, the Doctor of Medicine at Western Sydney and the Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Newcastle also make the top 10 list.

For the third year running, the Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology Sydney was the second most in-demand course with 1,105 first preferences and this year UNSW Sydney’s Double Commerce degree came in seventh with 597 first preferences.
