Get into uni early with SRS

04 Jul 2018

Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS) are one way institutions make early offers of undergraduate admission to Australian Year 12 students, using criteria other than (or in addition to) ATARs. These criteria include school recommendations and senior secondary studies.

SRS applications open on Wednesday 1 August 2018 and close at midnight on Friday 28 September 2018. After this date, you cannot access or modify your SRS application.

SRS offers will be made via UAC on Thursday 15 November 2018 (November Round 1). In this round you can receive one unconditional offer, and one or more conditional offer/s to course preferences you have listed at midnight on Sunday 11 November 2018.

What is a conditional offer?

Conditional SRS offers require you to meet additional criteria (such as a minimum ATAR, submitting a portfolio or attending an audition) before the institution will make you an unconditional offer.

What if I receive more than one conditional offer?

If you receive more than one conditional offer, once ATARs are released on Friday 14 December, you can determine whether you meet the criteria for one or more of your conditional offers. You will then need to decide which offer you would like to convert into an unconditional offer and make it your first preference by midnight on Sunday 16 December 2018. It is possible to receive more than one conditional offer, but only one of them can become an unconditional offer on Thursday 20 December 2018 (December Round 2).

Copies of the SRS booklet will be delivered to schools at the end of July/early August and a digital copy will be available for download.

This is an early offer scheme, so its time frame is limited. Don't leave your application until the last minute!
