Follow in the footsteps of Nobel Prize winner Howard Florey and kick-start your career in medical research with B Medical Science. You'll delve into genetics, immunology, nutrition, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry and anatomy to understand how the human body works. Learn directly from biomedical scientists and health professionals, who are working to develop new cancer vaccines or ground-breaking treatments for autoimmune diseases.
Students must maintain a credit average (65%) for prescribed subjects to remain in this course.

Final-year students complete Medical Science in the Workplace, a course designed to provide an opportunity for students to learn about applications of medical sciences in the workplace.

Essential requirements for admission
Co-curricular or service experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): Applicants must demonstrate at least two of the following seven skills: community engagement, inclusion and awareness of diversity, communication, leadership, personal responsibility, teamwork, creative and critical thinking. Check if you meet the ANU co-curricular or service requirement.
