ICMS equity programs aim to make tertiary education accessible to all eligible students, regardless of their background. 

Scholarships

Equity Scholarships

Under the Aspiring Education Foundation, ICMS provides help to secondary school students in Australia experiencing financial hardship to achieve their goals in higher education. These scholarships are available for tuition fees and/or accommodation expenses. Evidence of financial hardship is required, and the level and value of each scholarship awarded is determined by the ICMS Scholarship Committee.

ICMS Equity Scholarships are processed centrally through UAC.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate scholarships

In 2018, the International College of Management, Sydney provided more than 80 scholarships with over $1.2 million worth of tuition and accommodation subsidies for new and current students. This includes corporate and ICMS sponsored professional scholarships and financial hardship scholarships. In 2019, even more students will benefit from scholarships at ICMS.

How to apply for Equity Scholarships.

ICMS PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

Under the ICMS Professional Scholarships Program, applicants will be considered for the ICMS Professional Scholarships. ICMS will match the candidates to the most appropriate scholarship from their application form. Students are welcome to note or refer to a particular scholarship within their application. All scholarships cover varying portions of tuition fees for study and/or accommodation.

ANZ SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS has partnered with ANZ Bank to present this unique scholarship opportunity for students commencing the Bachelor of Business Management, with consideration given to students studying other ICMS degrees. The successful recipient will receive a tuition fee waiver to the value of up to eight subjects, and a 12-14 week full-time paid work placement within the ANZ organisation. The experience and exposure to the world of corporate banking will be of unequivocal value on the recipient’s CV and potentially open doors not imagined.

HOSTPLUS SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS has partnered with HOSTPLUS to present this unique scholarship opportunity for students commencing the Bachelor of Sports Management, with consideration given to students studying other ICMS degrees. The successful recipient will receive the value of over $17,000 tuition fee waiver.

ALCEON SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS has partnered with Alceon to present this unique scholarship opportunity for students commencing the Bachelor of Property (Development, Investment and Valuation) with consideration is given to students studying other ICMS degrees. The successful recipient will receive the value of $20,000 ($10,000 each year for their first two years of study) tuition fee waiver and includes work placement within the Alceon Group or an affiliated property organisation. The experience and exposure to the world of financial and property investment will be of unequivocal value on the recipient’s CV and potentially open doors not imagined.

SOUTHS CARES HOSTPLUS INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP

SOUTHS CARES, South Sydney Rabbitohs, HOSTPLUS and ICMS, have teamed up to provide a scholarship for an Indigenous student commencing a diploma or bachelor degree with ICMS.

International scholarships

ICMS offers scholarships to international students commencing a bachelor degree at ICMS in February, May and September 2020.

Scholarships are awarded based on a staged application process, which will result in the successful applicant being awarded up to AU$25,000 towards tuition and/or accommodation. Partial scholarships may be awarded.

Postgraduate scholarships

FEBRUARY, JULY AND OCTOBER 2020 INTAKES – POSTGRADUATE INNOVATION SCHOLARSHIP (NEW STUDENTS)

ICMS is offering scholarships to new postgraduate students commencing their studies at ICMS in a two-year master degree program in February 2020.

The scholarship are awarded based on a staged application process, which will result in successful applicants being awarded a scholarship offering a tuition fee waiver to the value of up to six subjects within one of the ICMS Master Degree programs commencing in February 2020.

ASPIRING EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (NEW STUDENTS) 

At ICMS we have an integrated college community of international and Australian students. We embrace all cultures and benefit from the breadth and diversity this brings. It's a key value of ICMS to enable students from all backgrounds to have an opportunity to study at tertiary level. The Aspiring Education Foundation (AEF) allows ICMS to help financially disadvantaged Australian students, by providing equity scholarships for both tuition and accommodation.

Multiple equity scholarships are available of up to a value of $39,000 for postgraduate and undergraduate students. These Equity Scholarships provide tuition fee waivers to a level decided by the AEF Committee in each case. The AEF Committee is also able to consider accommodation scholarships for eligible applicants to a value of up to $15,000.

The AEF Committee will manage the recipient selections and allocation of funds

Australian citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. International applicants should refer to the International Scholarships or Postgraduate Innovation Scholarship as above.

Current student scholarships

COURTNEY O’CONNOR SCHOLARSHIP

Each trimester, the Courtney O'Connor Scholarship recognises existing students who exhibit leadership, community service and academic excellence. This combination of skills and talent is not rare at ICMS, so the application process is competitive. The recipient of these prestigious scholarships receive tuition waivers for up to 12 subjects. Partial scholarships may be awarded.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS awards Academic Excellence Scholarships to enrolled students on the basis of academic performance as measured by cumulative GPA (or Weighted Average Mark where two or more applicants have the same cumulative GPA). These scholarships are highly competitive and highly regarded as they reflect the academic excellence at ICMS. There are up to two scholarships available each trimester.

BLACK & WHITE WAITERS SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS has partnered with Black & White Waiters to present this unique scholarship opportunity for students currently in Study Period 1 or 2* of their Bachelor of Hospitality Management or Bachelor of Event Management. The successful recipient will receive a tuition waiver up to the value of $7,500, which includes work placement at Black & White Waiters (200 hours) throughout the term of their scholarship. The experience and exposure to the world of hospitality and event management will make the recipient’s CV stand out, while also creating many networking opportunities.

* Interested applicants further along in their degree will be considered.

SURF LIFE SAVING SYDNEY NORTHERN BEACHES SCHOLARSHIP

The International College of Management, Sydney has partnered with Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches to award a unique scholarship for students enrolled in the:

  • Bachelor of Sports Management,
  • Bachelor of Event Management, or
  • Bachelor of Business Management.

Sponsored by Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches, the Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Scholarship is awarded to a student who displays enthusiasm and motivation for the sporting and/or events industry, and whose aptitude, academic results and previous work experience fit with the sponsor’s business goals.

The Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Scholarship awards a tuition fee waiver valued at up to $10,000 plus an internship with Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches.

NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL PROPERTY SCHOLARSHIP

The Northern Beaches Council Property Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for Property Management students to gain invaluable experience working in the Property and Commercial Business unit within the Property Division of Northern Beaches Council. Gain practical experience and high-level knowledge whilst being involved in a variety of activities including (but not limited to):

  • lease licence queries and drafting
  • property and land database/account management
  • liaising with internal council departments
  • maintenance of capital works
  • on-site inspections
  • a variety of land dealings.

This scholarship awards a tuition fee waiver valued up to $14,000 plus six to nine months paid internship with the Northern Beaches Council Property Department.

NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL EVENT MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Northern Beaches Council Event Management Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for event management students to gain invaluable experience working on key international events such as the Australian Open of Surfing, Manly Food and Wine Festival, Manly Jazz Festival, Australian citizenship ceremonies and other major events.

Working as part of a dedicated events team you will develop, plan and deliver events to help Northern Beaches Council meet its strategic business goals. You will gain invaluable practical experience and high-level knowledge including an understanding of regulations on large scale events, impact on community and transferable skills to the world of larger events.

This scholarship awards a tuition waiver valued at up to $17,000 plus a 26-week internship with Northern Beaches Council Events.

POSTGRADUATE INNOVATION SCHOLARSHIP

ICMS is awarding a scholarship of tuition fee waiver valued at up to four subjects in the third semester, for current postgraduate students.

Students enrolled in the second semester of their Master degree at ICMS are invited to apply. Students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 out of 5.0. Applicants must demonstrate consistency in academia, and excellence in innovation, professional performance, and overall contribution to ICMS.

Financial assistance

Loans

You may be eligible for FEE-HELP loan scheme assistance if you are:

  • an Australian citizen and meet the residency requirements, or
  • a holder of a New Zealand Special Category visa (SCV), or
  • a permanent humanitarian visa holder.
