Software Analyst

12 month fixed-term appointment with potential extension (Reference No. 1950)

This is an exciting time to join UAC as we continue our journey in transforming the digital world in the education sector. If you are passionate about technology and want to be part of a progressive team, this is the place for you!

UAC is recognised as one of Australia’s most innovative companies — we ranked 41st in the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies list and won the Best Process Innovation award. We are the largest tertiary admissions centre in Australia. We believe in the value of education and are committed to providing opportunities in higher education for all members of our community.

We are rapidly growing and have a well-established reputation in the industry as leaders in delivering innovative end-to-end digital solutions for our clients. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Software Analyst to join our talented Digital Products team.

You will develop dynamic, robust, scalable web applications, REST APIs and integration services using the latest Java web frameworks, build high quality SPA front-end apps with React and Ant Design, and potentially rebuild our iOS and Android apps using native Swift and Kotlin or React Native.

As a creative individual who takes a proactive approach to your work, you will have the autonomy to display your creativity by working on your own ideas, or tackling some interesting in-house initiatives such as building Geolocation Services from scratch, CMS with CraftCMS, Relevance Search with Elasticsearch, and Rule Engines with Drools. You will also have the opportunity to expand your knowledge with UI/UX design from our creative designers or Machine Learning/AI for developers from our data scientists.

You will be a problem solver and an excellent communicator working closely with various non-technical stakeholders at business level to transform business challenges to technical implementations and real-life applications.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

This is an excellent opportunity to work with leaders in the industry, delivering cutting-edge, transformative projects. We encourage creativity, new thinking, new approaches, and new ways to solve problems that lead to the best solutions for our business and clients.

This is both a challenging and rewarding role, working in a collaborative and supportive environment where innovation is highly valued and your potential to grow is endless.

We offer a competitive remuneration package: generous staff benefits, flexible working hours and a genuine work/life balance.

Remuneration: The annual salary range for this position at Grade 7 is $106,354 - $115,872 pa (includes base salary plus 9.5% employer superannuation contribution and annual leave loading).
