Important information about application and offer round dates
Remember that the on-time closing date for all applications is Friday 30 September 2011. If you apply after this you will have to pay a late fee.
UAC needs adequate time to process your application after we receive it. The time required for processing varies depending on the type of application and how accurate and complete your application is when you apply. For example, current Year 12 applications will take less time to process than applications from people who have undertaken a number of studies and qualifications.
Check key dates for offer rounds for all the dates by which you need to apply, provide documents and change your preferences for each offer round.
Early closing dates
Many courses have earlier closing dates for applying and providing documents than the UAC closing dates. Check the list of early closing dates before you apply or change your preferences.
Providing documents
You may need to provide documents with your application to verify your qualifications and/or because you have applied for course/s that require additional documents.
When you provide documents to UAC, make sure that your documents have been correctly verified. Failure to do so may delay the assessment of your application and could mean that you do not receive an offer. Also make sure that you meet the deadlines for providing your documents. Course-specific additional documents may need to be provided earlier than UAC closing dates.
If you apply in late January/early February there will be very little time to supply your documents, and limited time to resolve any queries we may have before offers are made in the Final Round.
The final closing date for applications for courses commencing first semester 2012 is Thursday 2 February 2012. If you apply close to or on this date, you may not have seven days to provide any documents that you need to include with your application.
For more information about providing documents, read the providing printed documents to UAC FAQs.
