Additional information: The B Business and Commerce is a broadly based, multidiscipline course offering flexibility and choice through a range of 16 different key programs, each of which reflects a particular business discipline. Students may select any key programs offered on their home campus. The course seeks to equip all students with a good understanding of basic business issues complemented by a high level of knowledge relevant to a specific business discipline as applied in a global environment. Each specific business discipline has a capstone unit involving real life cases or simulations; this means that graduates from the course will be considered ‘business ready’ in terms of dealing with real world business issues and problems and generating real world business solutions. In addition to the key programs, students will be able to complete (and will be required to do so in the management key program) either a major or a sub-major in another business area. Students can select units, majors or sub-majors from most disciplines in the University. Students may select a major within the first year of study or on completion of a year of study.
