Recommended studies: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (Advanced).

Major studies: Linguistics, psychology, speech pathology.

Practical experience: Students complete over 20 weeks of clinical experience during the program. This clinical experience is spread over all four years and is organised to take place during semester and in the semester breaks. It occurs in metropolitan, local regional and rural settings on a one day per week or block placement.

Honours: Awarded on the basis of eligible students successfully completing an honours thesis in Year 4. Honours is currently under review and is subject to change.

Professional recognition: Speech Pathology Association of Australia; recognised in NZ, Canada, the United Kingdom and the USA.

Career opportunities: Examples include speech pathologist in a hospital, community health centre, schools or private practice.

Additional information: Lectures are scheduled for daytime attendance.
