Recommended studies: English (Advanced); For Psychology: Mathematics.

Major studies: Aboriginal studies, anthropology, community welfare and human services, economic policy analysis, film, media and cultural studies, gender studies, historical studies, human geography, industrial relations and human resource management, leisure and tourism studies, linguistics, philosophical and religious studies, politics and policy, psychology, and sociology. Not all majors are available at both campuses. Minor studies: You can undertake electives in courses outside the program provided you meet the assumed knowledge requirements.

Honours: Available as an additional year to meritorious students.

Career opportunities: Examples include administration within local, state and Commonwealth government bodies and non-government organisations; research in organisations undertaking social research, welfare work, community development; and, with further qualification, teaching.
