Assumed knowledge: Visual Arts or equivalent. Completion of a TAFE qualification in Fine Art/Visual Arts would also be acceptable.

Additional selection criteria: As well as submitting an application to UAC and meeting the academic cut-off of this program, applicants are required to submit a portfolio to and attend an interview with the School of Drama, Fine Art and Music.

Major studies: 2D art (drawing, painting, printmaking), 3D art (ceramics, fibres/textiles, sculpture), art history/theory, photomedia (photography and digital imaging).

Honours: An honours program is available to meritorious students who complete their degree studies with normally at least a credit grade point average.

Career opportunities: Examples include professional artist, arts educator, art critic and writer. Graduates work in a variety of settings, including community arts, galleries and museums and information technology. Recognition of prior learning: Students who complete specified TAFE courses in Fine Art or related courses are eligible for credit in the program.
