The Music Auditions/Interview Program (for B Music and B Professional Music Practice) will commence Monday 23 November 2009 in the School of Music. Applicants unable to attend an audition/interview may arrange to forward a DVD or CD to the School of Music by Friday 6 November 2009.
The Visual Arts and Design Arts Interview Program is held over three days in mid-late November 2009. When arranging your interview, you need to select a specific date and indicate a major workshop. Applicants unable to attend the interview program may arrange to forward a portfolio of work to the School of Art Student Office by Friday 6 November 2009.
Major studies: Ceramics, digital media, glass, gold and silversmithing, painting, photomedia, print media and drawing, sculpture, textiles, wood/furniture.
Honours: Available as an additional year, subject to progress requirements.
Career opportunities: Depending on major/s, examples include visual artists, theatre technicians and designers, textile designers, jewellers, fashion designers, commercial photographers, arts administrators and curators, and careers in film, television, museums and galleries, web authoring, multimedia industries.
Additional information: In first year, all students complete the core studies, including life and general drawing, 2D and 3D studies and art theory, and commence studies in their major workshop. Subsequent years include major workshop, complementary studies and art theory. Complementary studies include art theory and professional practice, the workshops listed under ‘Major studies’ above, applied design, book studio, drawing, communication design, interactive multimedia, or relevant units from another faculty.
Combined degrees: B Visual Arts can be combined with 131095 B Arts, 138095 B Science (Forestry) and 139404 B Music.

Selection for programs is based principally on demonstrated performance in the discipline, as described below. In general, applicants are also expected to have completed Year 12 and attained an ACT/NSW UAI or equivalent.
