Application closing dates

Applications open in early August 2008. On-time applications close at midnight on Tuesday 30 September 2008.

Late applications will be accepted until midnight on Thursday 5 February 2009 with the appropriate late fee (refer to Charges and fees). However, you are advised to apply as early as possible as most offers are made in the Main Round of offers on Wednesday 21 January 2009. For more information about offers read Offers and enrolment.

Don't waste your application!
If you apply after the Main Round of offers, remember that few offers are made in the Late and Final rounds. Offers may not be made in all courses, as they are only made in courses that still have vacancies after the Main Round.

Early closing dates

Remember that some courses, particularly those with additional selection criteria, have closing dates earlier than UAC closing dates. This means that you must have the course as a preference by the course closing date.

If you have a disability

Institutions can provide services and assessment adjustments for students who have disabilities and ongoing illnesses which have an impact on their studies. Institutions use the term 'disability' to include a wide range of illnesses as well as physical, sensory, learning and psychiatric disabilities.

Disability services staff at each institution can provide advice and information when you are preparing for university study. The Online resource Get Ready for Uni www.uws.edu.au/ndco/getready is highly recommended for anyone with a disability who is considering university study.

If you have a disability or ongoing illness that may disadvantage you during your studies, you can include this information in your Apply-By-Web application. If you include on your UAC Apply-By-Web application that you have a disability, you will be asked to print the disability questionnaire, complete it and return it to UAC. If you have already applied using Apply-By-Web and did not print it then, use the link above to print it now.

A copy of your questionnaire will be sent to the disability services staff at the institution to which you are made an offer. Your questionnaire will assist the institution to meet your education needs. The questionnaire is confidential and will be seen only by disability services staff.

You are encouraged to contact the Disability Officers at the institutions to which you have applied to discuss your educational needs. While the support services and physical access may differ from institution to institution, the services generally offered include: note takers, personal readers, examination provisions, assistance in the library, parking for holders of RTA mobility access permits, learning assistance, alternative assessment methods, and provision of academic material in alternative formats.

Contact details for these officers can be downloaded. For more information about the services provided, read the institutions' general information.

Applicants who have disabilities may be eligible for entry through Educational Access Schemes.
