Your Confirmation of application

After you have completed your Apply-By-Web application, you will be provided with a Confirmation of application. Check this carefully to make sure everything in your application is correct. If you need to change your contact details or course preferences, you can use Online applicant services. For other changes, notify UAC immediately in writing.

Providing documents

When you use Apply-By-Web, you will be given instructions on whether you need to provide documents to support your application. If you do need to provide documents, you will receive a document cover sheet with your Confirmation of application. Print the document cover sheet, attach correctly verified documents and send these to UAC.

Viewing your correspondence from UAC

If you provide your email address when you apply, UAC will send you email messages from time to time to alert you to the presence of important correspondence from UAC. When you receive an alert email from UAC, it is important that you access Online applicant services to view and download the correspondence, and take appropriate action. Make sure you access Online applicant services regularly to check for new correspondence.

If you do not provide your email address when you apply, important correspondence from UAC will be sent to your postal address.

Changing your contact details

If you change your address, email address or telephone number after applying, notify UAC immediately to ensure that you receive important information from the institutions or from UAC.

For example, it is very important that UAC has a current address for you when offers are made. If there is any delay in the offer reaching you and you do not accept the offer by the deadline, your offer may lapse and you will lose your place.

You can change your preferences through Online applicant services. You cannot change your preferences by telephone, letter, fax or email. For further information read course preferences.

Your UAC application number

Your UAC application number has nine digits. Your Confirmation of application will include your UAC application number. Keep a copy handy as it is important to keep a record of your UAC application number. Remember that you will need your UAC application number to use Online applicant services. Your UAC Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Your UAC Personal Identification Number (PIN) has four digits. Remember to keep your UAC PIN in a secure place. Remember that you will need your UAC PIN to use Online applicant services. For further information read UAC Personal Identification Number (PIN).
