Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about your UAC PIN and UAC application number and what to do if you lose them.

If you've lost or forgotten your UAC PIN you can use Check & Change to have it sent to you by email – access Check & Change and enter your UAC application number – or you can call us on 1300 275 822 (from mobiles on (02) 9752 0200 or from overseas on +61 2 9752 0200) between 8.30am and 4.30pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday.

What are my UAC PIN and application number?

Your UAC application number has nine digits and is issued when you apply. Your Confirmation of Application will also include your UAC application number. You'll need your UAC application number to use Check & Change and to check any offer.

Your UAC Personal Identification Number (PIN) is the first four digits of your date of birth. For example, if your birthday is 3 October, your UAC PIN is 0310; if your birthday is 17 May, your UAC PIN is 1705. You'll need your UAC PIN to apply, to use Check & Change, and to check your offer.

What do I do if I have lost my UAC PIN or am having difficulties?

Retrieve your UAC PIN via email

If you have completed the personal details section of your application, you can have your UAC PIN emailed to you. You do not need to have submitted the application:

  • Go to Apply and select 'Continue your application' or go to Check & Change.
  • Enter your UAC application number.
  • Select 'Forgotten your UAC PIN?'
  • Follow the prompts.

Call us to have your UAC PIN re-issued

If you're using the correct number and still experiencing difficulties, you can call us on 1300 275 822 (from mobiles on (02) 9752 0200 or from overseas on +61 2 9752 0200) between 8.30am and 4.30pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday.

What do I do if my application is locked?

If you enter your UAC PIN incorrectly five times, you will be locked out of your application and will need to reset your UAC PIN. To reset your UAC PIN:

  • Go to Apply and select 'Continue your application' or go to Check & Change.
  • Enter your UAC application number.
  • Select 'Forgotten your UAC PIN?'
  • Follow the prompts.

You will receive an email containing a link to reset your UAC PIN.

What do I do if I have lost or forgotten my UAC application number?

If you've printed your Confirmation of Application, your UAC application number will be on this.

You can have your UAC application number re-issued by calling UAC between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday (Sydney time) on 1300 275 822 (from mobiles on (02) 9752 0200 or from overseas on +61 2 9752 0200. You'll be asked some identification questions. If your details match our database we'll re-issue your UAC application number over the phone.

Can I change my UAC PIN?

You can change your UAC PIN using Check & Change.

Your UAC PIN must be four numeric characters.

Can I log in using a UAC application number from a previous year?

No. You'll need your 2016–17 UAC application number and UAC PIN to log in. You can't use an application number from a previous year.
