Who applies through UAC Postgraduate?

Applicants who MUST apply through UAC Postgraduate

The following applicants must apply through UAC. Read Application process for more details:

  • Australian citizens
  • New Zealand citizens
  • permanent residents of Australia
  • holders of an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa.

Prospective permanent residents please note that you do not have permanent resident status unless you have actually landed in Australia and your passport has been endorsed to indicate that you have taken up residence. A letter from the Department of Immigration approving your application for permanent resident status does not in itself mean you are a permanent resident.

Deferments

UAC will not process deferments for postgraduate courses. Contact the relevant institution directly to establish its policy on deferments.

Applicants who DO NOT apply through UAC Postgraduate

For postgraduate admissions in 2008, all international fee-paying applicants must apply directly to the institutions, not through UAC.
