Course search help

Use the course search to help you find courses that interest you. Note that a 'keywords search' allows you to enter a combination of search types whereas the other options allow one specific type of search. For details see below.

Keywords

A keywords search allows you to enter the course name, UAC course code, institution name, type of course or a combination. Entries are not case sensitive.
For example: if you want to find a course in accounting at Macquarie University, select 'all' and type in: Macquarie accounting

Any, all, exact
These options determine how closely your search matches the words you have entered.

Choose 'any' to list as many courses as possible – for example, type in 'mathematics teaching' and select 'any' to find every instance of the word 'mathematics' and every instance of the word 'teaching'.

Choose 'all' to list courses which include all of the keywords you entered – for example, type in 'mathematics teaching' and select 'all' to find every instance of the two words used together.

Choose 'exact' to narrow your matches to the exact combination of words that you enter.

Course type

Choose Commonwealth-supported place (CSP), fee-paying (FEE) or a combination of Commonwealth-supported place (CSP) and fee-paying (FEE).

When you list your courses, make sure you use the correct UAC course code otherwise you could find you have applied for fee-paying (FEE) courses when you intended to apply only for Commonwealth-supported place (CSP) courses.

If you do not specify course type, Commonwealth-supported place (CSP) courses will be shown first and fee-paying (FEE) courses second.
