Participating institutions
UAC's participating institutions can provide prospective students with information about careers and employment opportunities – contact the participating institutions for further details. The institutions also provide written information for prospective applicants.
Also use the course search for a brief description of each course offered through UAC. Each course description includes a guide to career opportunities.
Prospective students are also encouraged to attend open days held at the participating institutions.

For books on careers check your local library, bookstore and newsagent. The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations has an online Job Guide at www.jobguide.dest.gov.au.

You may be able to obtain career information from societies, institutes or associations established for each of the professions, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. For contact details look under 'Organisations - Business and Professional' in the Sydney Yellow Pages or the DEEWR online Job Guide mentioned in 'Publications' above.

OZJAC – The Australian Course and Careers Database
OZJAC is the Australian courses and careers database managed by Hobsons and is available on CD and the web.
OZJAC has descriptions on more than 12 000 courses offered by universities, TAFE institutes and registered training organisations across Australia. You can search for courses in lots of different ways, including by field of study, region, attendance, course level, provider, subjects, course name and related jobs. Course profiles can be viewed on screen, printed out or saved to a file. Also included are descriptions of universities, TAFE Institutes and registered training organisations, job descriptions, industry data and career information, and general information topics such as Commonwealth-supported places.
OZJAC CD and OZJAC Online are available at subscribing sites, including many schools, career advisory centres, libraries, TAFE providers and universities.
