Who applies through UAC International?
Can I apply for a place as an international student?
You are eligible to apply for a place as an international student if you are NOT an Australian citizen (including dual citizens), or a New Zealand citizen (including dual citizens), or a permanent resident* of Australia.
* Prospective permanent residents note if you are granted permanent resident status after you have applied to UAC International as an international applicant you must write to the Operations Officer at UAC to explain your change in status and provide a verified copy of your current passport, immediately. If you change your status after you receive an offer you must speak with the individual institutions concerned.
Who can apply through UAC International?

For 2009 admissions, international students undertaking one of the following qualifications who wish to apply to institutions that participate through UAC can apply through UAC International:
- an Australian Year 12 in Australia in 2008
- an Australian Year 12 outside Australia in 2008
- an International Baccalaureate in Australia in 2008
- a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 in 2008.
Who cannot apply through UAC International?
International students not in one of the categories listed above in 'Who can apply through UAC International?', apply directly to the institutions, not through UAC.
