Where can I find information about the UAI?
Read Universities Admission Index (UAI) for more information.
^topWhat if I have lost my UAI Advice Notice?
If you have lost your UAI Advice Notice, UAC can issue you with a UAI confirmation letter. The fee is $45 (the original UAI Advice Notice is free). To order a UAI confirmation letter, call UAC on +61 2 9752 0200.
^topI am applying on the basis of my Year 12 studies. Do the institutions take anything else into account?
Admission to most tertiary courses is based on your performance in 2008 HSC. You are ranked on your Universities Admission Index (UAI). For further details on the UAI, read Universities Admission Index (UAI).
Other criteria such as a portfolio, interview, audition, questionnaire, or test may also be taken into account for certain courses either instead of, or in conjunction with the UAI.
2008 interstate Year12/NZ NCEA level 3 students
No general restrictions are placed on applicants who have completed interstate Year 12 qualifications or the NZ NCEA level 3. Applications from interstate 2008 Year 12 and 2008 NZ NCEA Level 3 students are generally processed in the same way as 2008 NSW HSC applicants.
I have qualifications from overseas. Will these be considered as part of my entry eligibility?
You might also have other qualifications for admission, for example you might have attempted a school-leaving qualification before 2008 in Australia or overseas. You need to tell us about these qualifications when you apply so we can include these in your assessment profile.
^topI'm completing the International Baccalaureate. How will my IB results compare with the UAI?
Read Applying with the International Baccalaureate for more information.
