Who applies through UAC International?

For 2009 admissions, international students undertaking one of the following qualifications apply through UAC International:
- an Australian Year 12 in Australia in 2008
- an Australian Year 12 outside Australia in 2008
- an International Baccalaureate in Australia in 2008
- a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 in 2008.
Who cannot apply through UAC International?
International students not in one of the categories listed above apply directly to the institutions, not through UAC. If you must apply direct, contact the institutions to which you intend to apply without delay. Each institution has its own application procedures and admission requirements.

Read Documentation for more information. Note that copies verified by a Justice of the Peace without a registration number will not be accepted.
^topWhen can I apply?
If you want to be considered for admission to Semester 1 courses (starting in February/March 2009), you are encouraged to submit your application by 31 October 2008. Applications will be accepted after that, until February 2009.
Information about Semester 2 dates will be available on this website in early 2009.
^topHow much does it cost to apply?
The UAC International Apply-By-Web processing charge is $57.50.
^topHow do I pay the processing charge?
The processing charge is not refundable under any circumstances and you must keep a record of the date and time of your payment.
If you do not pay the processing charge your application will not be processed and you will not be made an offer.

You have a number of options to pay for the processing charge:
- credit card (MasterCard and Visa)
- PayPal
- BPAY (in Australia only)
- over the counter at Australia Post outlets (in Australia only).
What do I need to apply through Apply-By-Web?
You will need your student number and your UAC PIN to apply.

You can tell us about additional study and qualifications using Online applicant services on UAC's website - select "Add/modify study/qualifications".

You need to tell us about it - go to Online applicant services on UAC's website and select "Add/modify study/qualifications".
^topHow many applications can I submit?
You can only submit one application through UAC International.
^topHow can I get confirmation of my application?
After you have completed your International Apply-By-Web application, you will be provided with a Confirmation of application to download and print.
^topHow can I change my contact details?
If you change your address, email address or telephone number after applying, notify UAC immediately to ensure that you receive important information from the institutions or from UAC. It is very important that UAC has a current and correct email address because you will be notified by email about any correspondence we send to you.
You can change your contact details using Online applicant services.
- Notes:
- you cannot change your contact details by telephone, fax or email
- you should not include changes to your contact details with other correspondence
- if you are a 2008 Year 12 student you must also change your address with your board of studies.
