Applying through UAC International FAQs
- Do I apply through UAC Undergraduate or UAC International?
The application process varies for domestic and international applicants:
- Read who can apply through UAC International? or
- if you're an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or the holder of an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa read who can apply through UAC Undergraduate?
- What are the admission requirements for university study?
To be offered a place in a course you must:
- be eligible to be considered and
- be selected in competition with other eligible applicants.
Read admission requirements for more information about whether you're eligible.
- When do I need to apply?
The application cycle goes from August 2011 to June 2012 with applications opening in early August. Check key dates for application and offer dates.
When you apply you must indicate whether you wish to be considered for courses starting in semester 1, semester 2 or both.
Note: You can change your courses as many times as you like throughout the application cycle.

If you want to be considered for admission to semester 1 courses (starting in February/March 2012), you're encouraged to submit your application by Friday 28 October 2011.
Applications will still be accepted until midnight Thursday 2 February 2012 for semester 1 courses.
Remember that some courses, particularly those with additional selection criteria, have early closing dates. This means that you must have the course in your list of courses by the course closing date. - How do I apply?
You apply to courses listed in the course search through Apply. Apply will instruct you throughout the application.
- How do I pay for my application?
The processing charge is A$64.
The processing charge is not refundable under any circumstances and you must keep a record of the date and time of your payment.
You have a number of options to pay for the processing charge:
- credit/debit card (MasterCard and Visa)
- PayPal – if you choose to use PayPal to pay your processing charge, allow at least 10 days before you apply to set up your account
- BPAY (in Australia only)
- over the counter at Australia Post outlets (in Australia only).

- I applied through UAC International but now I’m a permanent resident. Do I need to apply again?
If you're granted permanent residency after you apply through UAC International, write to the Senior Operations Officer at UAC to explain your change in status and provide a verified copy of your current passport. You don't need to apply again.
