International course search help

Using keywords to search courses

Note: a 'keywords search' allows you to enter a combination of search types whereas the other options allow one specific type of search.

A keywords search allows you to enter the course name, UAC course code, institution name, type of course or a combination of these search elements.

To refine your search:

  • Choose 'any of these words (including and, of etc.)' to list as many courses as possible – for example, type in 'mathematics teaching' and select 'any' to find every instance of the word 'mathematics' and every instance of the word 'teaching'.
  • Choose 'all of these words' to list courses which include all of the keywords you entered – for example, type in 'mathematics teaching' and select 'all' to find every instance of the two words used together.
  • Choose 'an exact match of these words' to narrow your matches to the exact combination of words that you enter.

For example: if you want to find a course in accounting at the Australian Catholic University, select 'all of these words' and type in: accounting catholic.

UAC course code

Enter a six-digit UAC course code to get details of the course you're looking for. Course codes are published in the UAC 2012 International Booklet.

For example: 101000.

Institution

Enter the name of the institution which provides the course.

For example: University of New South Wales.

Cut-offs

Enter ATAR numbers between 00.00 and 99.95 in increments of .05. The cut-offs used are from 2011 main admissions.
