UAC and what we do

The Universities Admissions Centre (NSW & ACT) Pty Ltd (UAC) is the central office that receives and processes applications for admission to most undergraduate degree, advanced diploma, diploma and associate diploma courses at the participating institutions. UAC also processes applications for admission to a number of postgraduate courses at participating institutions.

By applying for admission to tertiary courses through UAC, your task is made much easier than if you were required to apply separately to each institution.

The institutions, not UAC, decide who will receive offers to courses based on the preferences expressed by applicants in their UAC applications. UAC, however, co-ordinates the process, and posts notification of offers on behalf of the institutions.

UAC also notifies current NSW HSC students of their Universities Admission Index (UAI).

UAC also acts as a representative for the International Student Admissions Test (ISAT).
