Applications after Friday 12 December 2008 Friday 12 December 2008 is the final date to submit applications for guaranteed consideration in the Main Round. Special conditions apply for applications submitted after this date, plus some institutions may not be able to consider applications submitted after certain dates. Read Important information about application dates and offer rounds and check institution entries before you submit an application. Some courses have closing dates earlier than the UAC closing dates. Don't waste a preference - do your research in the course search before you apply.

2008 NSW HSC students
Wed 17 December 2008	2008 NSW HSC results released by NSW Board of Studies
Thu 18 December 2008	UAIs released by UAC on UAC's website from 9am
Fri 19 December 2008	2008 NSW HSC students receive two letters: HSC results from the NSW Board of Studies and UAI from UAC
2008 ACT Year 12 students
Wed 17 December 2008	ACT Year 12 Certificate and Tertiary Entrance Statement (including UAI) issued by ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies. Students should collect their certificates from their college on or after this date
Fri 19 December 2008	UAIs for ACT Year 12 students available on UAC's website from 9am

Mid August 2008 – Wed 7 January 2009	Change of preferences accepted for consideration in Main Round
Wed 21 January – Tue 27 January 2009	Change of preferences accepted for consideration in Late Round
Wed 4 February – Thu 5 February 2009	Change of preferences accepted for consideration in Final Round

Changes made on the UAC website close at midnight for the three closing dates for change of preferences shown above. Refer to After you apply on this website for more details.

For Main and Late round release dates, offers will be available from 9pm (2100 hours) on UAC's website. On all other release dates, offers will be available from 9am on this website.

Offers from the Distance Education, Early, Preliminary, Main and Late rounds are scheduled to be published in the media (read important information about application dates and offer rounds for publication dates). If you do not want your offer published please write to the Managing Director, UAC, Locked Bag 112, Silverwater, NSW 2128, by Monday 5 January 2009.

Offers must be accepted by the date specified by the relevant institution. For more information read offers.

On-time closing date for UAC applications is Tuesday 30 September 2008.

Times indicated on this website are based on Sydney local time. Online applicant services is available between 7.30am and midnight, seven days a week.
