In accordance with the Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines, institutions will give special consideration to Indigenous Australian applicants to ensure a fair proportion of the CS offered by the institution are awarded to Indigenous Australian applicants.

Who can apply?

In addition to meeting the basic eligibility requirements, to be considered for a CECS - Indigenous Enabling or a CAS - Indigenous Enabling scholarship you must be:

enrolled, or about to commence study in an eligible Enabling course
an Indigenous person.

To be considered for an Indigenous Access Scholarship, you must be:

a commencing student in an undergraduate or eligible Enabling course of study.

In addition, there are specific categories of CS available to Indigenous applicants only.
